Diesel D-String Casual Shoe Review

89 Great look, fine detailed hi-top

At the beginning of November I attended a great event in London called the Carnaby Shopping Christmas Party. A range of stores, bars and restaurants all located around  Carnaby Street offer discounts up to 30% off, plus lots of freebies were available too, although I was not keen on queuing 30 minutes for a free hotdog!

I had my eye on a pair of Diesel hi-tops which I’d listed in Novembers wishlist so I visited the shop to see if they were in stock – luckily they were. I tried them on with a few different coloured jeans (light blue, grey and black) and they looked great in all three.

I took them home and tried them on properly and I must say I really like these shoes. They’re very comfortable to wear and lightweight too, there’s some excellent detail around the shoe which make this pair stand out from brands like converse. Firstly there’s a zip down the ankle which looks great and makes it easy to put on (you don’t need to keep undoing the laces – hurrah), the stitching around the sides and back creates some great patterns in the leather too. There’s a brown leather patch on the back of each shoe which says “Diesel” on and the soles are vulcanized  which means they should last a bit longer than normal too. Overall these are a great hi-top by Diesel and are reasonably priced too at £125, you can buy them on the official website.

These Diesel D-String Casual Shoe would look great with:

  • Moncler band stripe hoodie – Farfetch

  • Thavar Grey Jeans – Diesel
