Hi-Tops (or high-tops) are a style of shoe that I own a lot of – more than any other style. In terms of what they give to an outfit I guess they just stand out more than other styles, for example of you wear skinny/slim or tapered jeans then the bottom of the leg will rest at the very top of the shoe allowing people to see the full style/design. Usually the designs on hi-tops are bolder too, either with large tongues, thicker soles or more striking artwork/colours.

Personally I think hi-top shoes generally have something more exciting about them, they look more interesting than a normal shoe and besides the look they are more comfortable to wear, especially in the winter!

Here’s a collection of hi-tops that are on my wish list at the moment for Spring Summer 2014 – let me know what you think or if you see something similar out there I might like.
