Last month I discovered a new brand/website I’ve not seen before, a company called Cotton Jelly. Here’s a bit about them taken from their website:

Cotton Jelly’s home is in Leicester, England, a city with a strong heritage in clothing and design manufacturing. Our factory was once the home of Wildt Mellor Bromley, who were founded on a throwback Thursday in 1884. In their heyday WMB were one of the largest manufacturers of knitting machines in the world, but unfortunately times got hard in the 1970s and they were forced to close. Sad face.

What’s different about Cotton Jelly are the options they give you to personalise the clothes from their catalog, for example, on some the designs you can add initials (like this t-shirt I’m reviewing) which seamlessly integrate on the individual designs and then on the inside labels you can write a personalised messages like “Happy Birthday ….” etc.

I had a look through their website and chose a nice Grey Camo T-shirt called “Unlucky 13″. The order came through very quickly and when I opened the delivery packaging it was a nice surprise to see the t-shirt had been wrapped in tissue paper. As I’ve said before in other reviews the tissue paper keeps the piece from getting damaged in transit and considering the t-shirt only costs £25.00 it’s usually something you only see with premium brands (to my knowledge).

After unwrapping the t-shirt the first thing I noticed was how soft the material felt and second to that how light the t-shirt was to wear. The t-shirt fits really nicely, I’m a large medium and it feels just right. The print on the front and back is better than you’d normally get for the price although obviously not as luxurious as some of the bigger brands like Givenchy and D&G. Overall I’m impressed with what Cotton Jelly have on offer and the fact everything is produced in the United Kingdom is an added benefit and a welcome surprise.

This Grey Camo t-shirt would look good with:
