Firstly I must say I’m a massive Off White fan, ever since I came across the brand last year and reviewed one of their T-shirts. The style is just what I look for; simple colours, fine details matched with big bold printed designs. With this in mind I was very keen to get hold of some new spring summer 15 stock.
I decided to go for one of the hoodies, partly because it’s still too cold to wear just t-shirts and secondly because they look fantastic. The designs by Off White this season are more developed, there’s more going on visually and there’s new details on the pieces – everything feels more grown up.
I ordered the hoodie in a small as generally everything produced by Off White is oversized and I chose a black material with a wave print on the front. The first thing I noticed when I unwrapped it was the great “White” logo on the back, it has a distressed look to it, something which is new to the SS15 designs. There’s some lovely little details which really make this stand out too, in particular the intertwined black and white hood tassels as well as the intentional splits down the bottom of each sides. Saying all that I tried it on and unfortunately the size didn’t quite fit properly; the length is fine, as are the sleeves but the chest is way too tight which makes the whole thing feel uncomfortable.. which is a real shame.
I love everything about this hoodie; the material, the design, the contrast and the small details but ultimately the fit isn’t quite right for me which is a disappointment.
This Off White Wave Hoodie would look great with:
- Dr Denim Black Skinny Jeans – ASOS
- Converse All Star Hi Tops – Office
