OK, first things first, who’s confused about what 4D is? Yep, me to! Well, the short answer is that it’s actually a 3D printed mid-sole support for adidas sneakers, the official blurb for adidas below:
Cutting-edge 4D design combines comfort, stability and cushioning in these men’s running shoes. The Alphaedge4D midsole is precisely tuned for controlled energy return, providing long-lasting cushioning and stability. The sleek build feature a stretchy heat-pressed upper that adapts to the shape of your foot as it moves, with areas of support for a stable ride.
The AlphaEdge4D sneaker is like nothing I have ever owned before; from the sleek design to the colours and comfort, this is something very unique. The first observation when unboxing is that they are much heavier than the boost technology, which makes sense as there more plastic material than previously. To wear they are very comfortable and feature a double tongue which make them easy to put on and feel very supported. The styling is futuristic, featuring a blend of grey shades, sharp patterns and the signature 4D green sole.
These are quite rare to buy but I managed to find a UK 9.5 (they fit true to size) on eBay for around £350, adidas have a lot more of the 4D range coming out in 2018/19 so stay tuned.
